Communication Fellow Alum

Lisa was a PhD student in Chemical Engineering. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Lisa received her BS in ChemE from the University of Pittsburgh in 2013. She then obtained a Masters in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, UK, where she split her time between researching protein microgels and honing her rowing skills on the River Cam. Lisa subsequently came to MIT in 2014 on an NSF Fellowship and currently works in the Anderson lab, studying responsive biomaterials for self-regulated insulin delivery. In her free time, Lisa enjoys traveling, running along the Esplanade, hiking, skiing, and just generally being active outdoors.
