The CommKit is a collection of guides to successful scientific communication, written by MIT’s Department of Mechanical Engineering Communication Fellows.
Our goal in creating this resource is to share how we, as graduate students and postdocs, think about conveying technical information in written, oral, and visual formats to a range of audiences. The CommKit serves as a complement to our peer-to-peer coaching within MIT’s School of Engineering.
Each guide will be a short, self-contained discussion about how you can craft a successful document or presentation. To help translate theory into practice, we include annotated real-world examples like published papers and application materials from successful fellowship applications.
