Catherine started her PhD in Biological Engineering at MIT in 2017 after graduating from the University of Virginia with a degree in biomedical engineering. She currently works in the Koehler Lab, where she develops high-throughput technologies to study protein-small molecule interactions. In the spring of 2019, she was the teaching assistant for 20.109, Laboratory Fundamentals in Biological Engineering.
Catherine developed a passion for scientific communication in college while preparing posters and grants for her research project. Outside of the lab, Catherine enjoys serving as an academic chair on the BE Graduate Board and acting as a co-director of the Entrepreneurship Initiative in the MIT Biotechnology Group.
