Khloe Gordon, Comm Fellow 2021-2023

Comm Fellow 2021-2023
Birnbaum Lab, BE, Koch

Khloe is a graduate student in Michael Birnbaum’s lab at the Koch Institute, where she is developing methods to rapidly identify chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) that can redirect the immune system towards solid tumor targets of interest. She grew up in the rural Midwest and later received her bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Vanderbilt University with a minor in art and chemistry. She has always been drawn to graphic design and likes finding new ways to utilize figures and PowerPoints as effective tools for communication. Having grown up in a small town, she has a healthy appreciation for the value and impact of good scientific communication. Outside of the lab, Khloe likes to make wheel thrown pottery, cook high effort recipes, and partake in low effort outdoor activities.
