Communication Fellow
3rd year graduate student, Bazant Lab
Amelia is a PhD student studying impedance modeling and fluid dynamics for batteries in Martin Bazant’s lab. She grew up in New Brunswick, Canada and earned her B.A.Sc. in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of British Columbia in 2023. She is passionate about effective scientific communication, especially for tailoring presentations to address the “why”s and to remind ourselves to reflect on the broader significance and potential impact of our work. She also finds joy in designing aesthetically pleasing visuals that make complex ideas both accessible and compelling. Outside of 66, you’ll likely find her making pottery, working out at the Z, or appreciating nature and cute animals.
