Communication Fellow Alum
Corinne was a postdoctoral associate in the Braatz and Rutledge labs in Chemical Engineering, where she studied heterogeneous polymer crystallization kinetics and the design of optimization methods for highly stochastic systems. A Massachusetts native, she received her BS in Chemical Engineering in 2013 from the UMass Amherst, where she simulated the structural and mechanical properties of irradiated graphene. She then obtained her PhD from UC Santa Barbara in 2017. Corinne’s graduate work focused on computational studies of directed self-assembly of block copolymers for patterning applications in the electronics industry. Her favorite aspects of scientific communication are explaining highly technical concepts to a range of audiences and translating content across cultural and field-specific formats. In her free time, Corinne enjoys gardening, sketching, boxing, and drinking very strong coffee.
