2nd year graduate student, Hammond and Bhatia Labs
Emma is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemical Engineering advised by Paula Hammond and Sangeeta Bhatia. She studies liposomal platforms for drug delivery in ovarian cancer. She earned her B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Missouri in 2025 with minors in chemistry and mathematics. Her experience presenting undergraduate research to community members of all backgrounds piqued her interest in making scientific discoveries available for all. She is also passionate about accessibility in communication. Emma is a native Missourian. Outside of the lab, she enjoys playing piano, drinking coffee, thrifting, and donating platelets with the Red Cross.
