Gaurav Awasthi, Communication Fellow

Communication Fellow
1st year graduate student, DeKosky Lab

Gaurav is a PhD student in Chemical Engineering advised by Prof. Brandon DeKosky. His research focuses on integrating computational and experimental tools for high-throughput antibody discovery. Gaurav spent his childhood in various cities across India, and discovered a love for science and math at an early age — eventually finding his way into a ChemE undergrad at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, where his research experience ranged from systems biology to granular materials. He was also involved with his university’s journalism body and the student mentorship program. Outside of the lab, Gaurav can be found swimming, sailing, playing squash, enjoying a meal with friends, and attempting to accommodate a love for late night walks into his routine as a die-hard morning person.
