Katelyn Meister, Communication Fellow

Katelyn is a Chemical Engineering PhD student advised by Matthew Shoulders and Katie Galloway, studying the molecular mechanisms of collagen proteostasis in healthy and disease states. Katelyn is from Tampa, Fl, and graduated from the University of Florida in 2024 with a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and minor in Biomolecular Engineering. Through her experiences in undergraduate research, teaching, peer advising, and K-12 outreach, Katelyn has cultivated a passion for helping others strengthen their scientific communication skills and discover their unique voice. She is particularly interested in making complex ideas accessible and engaging for diverse audiences. As a Comm Lab Fellow, Katelyn is dedicated to fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where clients feel empowered to build confidence, refine their messaging, and effectively translate scientific concepts for both technical and general audiences. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys reading, crafting, spending time with friends, watching movies and musicals, and exploring the Boston area.
