Lucas Attia, Communication Fellow

Communication Fellow
3rd year graduate student, Doyle Lab

Lucas is a ChemE PhD student and a DOE Computational Science Graduate Research Fellow in the Doyle Group. His research focuses on innovating at the interface of soft materials and drug delivery to create novel platforms for drug formulation. Lucas is passionate about integrating computation and experimentation to ask and answer research questions. A native Delawarean, Lucas earned his BS in chemical engineering from the University of Delaware, where he worked on materials for pulmonary drug delivery. In both his work and free time, Lucas find himself irresistibly drawn to the art of storytelling. He loves the challenges of crafting research and data into a compelling story that can engage generalist audiences. Outside of the lab, Lucas expresses this passion through reading books, watching movies, and mourning the tragedies of his favorite professional sports teams. His other hobbies include playing basketball and volleyball, hiking, and traveling.
