Pradeep is a Chemical Engineering PhD student advised by Arup Chakraborty. His research combines statistical physics with computer simulations to understand how physical interactions between biomolecules and active processes control transcription in eukaryotic cells. He is an international student from Chennai, India, where he obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He is interested in science communication to a lay audience, figure & slide design, and developing personalized systems for note-taking. Outside research, Pradeep loves to explore Boston by bike, play tennis and cricket, and read books on popular science and history with a cup of hot chai.
