Communication Fellow Alum
Yayuan is a postdoctoral associate in the Hatton lab. She is currently working on electrochemically-mediated separation processes for the mitigation of environmental problems. Yayuan received her bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in 2014. She then did her PhD at Stanford University where she integrated electrochemistry, nanomaterials and advanced characterization techniques to improve the design of next-generation batteries. She is especially passionate about supporting graduate students and postdocs who are interested in pursuing academic careers, from proposal writing to research presentations to the preparation of faculty application packages. In her free time, Yayuan enjoys cooking, baking and binge watching (especially thrillers!).
