Zsigi began his PhD in ChemE in 2013 and conducts research in the lab of Professor James Swan. In the Swan group he is using transport theory and computer simulations to construct models that can help us better understand colloidal gels such as drilling mud, artificial tissue and even yoghurt. Originally from Budapest, Hungary, he received his BSc and MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Cambridge, UK before coming to MIT. He is passionate about public speaking, debate and long discussions about anything and everything. Outside of lab, Zsigi enjoys traveling and exploring new places, playing squash and tennis or just relaxing while cooking and listening to music.
