Scientific Advisor with extensive experience in many forms of scientific communication
Robert is a Lead Scientific Advisor in the Klarman Cell Observatory, the Center for Cell Circuits, and the Director’s Office. In his role, he assists in the development and execution of a range of documents, communications, and projects. Before joining the Broad Institute in 2013, Robert trained as a biochemist and then worked as a journal editor. He particularly enjoys helping with presentations, manuscripts, funding applications, letters of recommendation/support, and any type of communication intended for non-specialist audiences. Robert’s areas of scientific expertise are gene expression and its regulation, genetics, and genomics, but he is comfortable thinking broadly across a range of scientific areas.
