ICAT: human factors and operational interventions to mitigate the environmental impact of aviation
Mina is a PhD student in the International Center for Air Transportation (ICAT) working under the supervision of Professor John Hansman. Mina studies operational measures to reduce aviation’s excess costs and environmental impact (carbon emissions, contrails, noise), as well as human factors patterns in pilot response to system failures.
As a Comm Lab fellow, Mina aims to support other graduate students in sharing their research with the world through clear, engaging written communication and oral presentations. Mina has experience with conference presentations, fellowship/award applications, academic papers, and technical reports. Outside of the lab, Mina is a licensed pilot and enjoys flying, sailing, running, and reading.
