Multifunctional Metamaterials Lab: manipulating materials, unlocking useful optical responses
Morgan Blevins is a PhD candidate in MIT’s AeroAstro department and a member of the Multifuntional Metamaterials Laboratory, advised by Dr. Svetlana Boriskina. Morgan studies nanophotonics and light-matter interaction, with applications in energy harvesting and photodetection. She is interested in non-reciprocal light behavior and engineering materials to have broken symmetries for novel applications. In her time at MIT, she’s loved learning about what all the AeroAstro labs are working on: building a new spacesuit, creating cutting edge control methods, shaping space policy, etc. Morgan is excited to support members of the AeroAstro department working on research abstracts, reports, presentations, fellowship and graduate school applications, or any other piece of communication. Before moving to Cambridge, Morgan attended Harvey Mudd College for her B.S. in Engineering and is originally from Bainbridge Island, Washington.
