Helping engineers communicate

Staffed by the EECS Communication Fellows, the EECS Communication Lab offers writing, speaking, and visual design support for scientists by scientists.

Use The Commkit Make an Appointment

Our trained graduate student and postdoc Communication Fellows offer individual coaching, targeted workshops, and other services to support their peers as they learn key transferable communication skills that will help them achieve their career goals.

We invite MIT EECS affiliates to make coaching appointments for any academic or technical work involving communication: posters, journal or conference papers, resumes, fellowship applications, and more. Use the Comm Lab anywhere from brainstorming to final edits – the earlier the better.

Looking for support outside of coaching sessions? Consult the CommKit, our online collection of quick guides to successful technical communication for electrical engineers and computer scientists. Each guide includes authentic, annotated examples. We welcome engineers everywhere to browse the CommKit.

Have you already found us helpful? Feel free to spread the word by acknowledging the Comm Lab on your poster or presentation with our EECS Comm Lab logo.
