Nili is from Israel, where she completed her BSc and MSc in EE from Tel Aviv University. She moved to cold Cambridge to pursue a PhD in optics, focusing on biological and medical applications. Nili is a late bloomer and started her PhD after almost ten years working in the aerospace industry as a system engineer and as a R&D project manager, mainly in the fields of optics, radar, and aeronautic systems. She is now part of Rajeev Ram’s group, working on Raman spectroscopy of stem cells for control of biological therapies manufacturing.
When Nili is not in lab, she spends her time with her two daughters, who take up most of her waking hours, but make her extremely happy. She also loves cooking, drinking (good) coffee and spending time with friends.
