Teddy Hsieh is a 3rd year PhD candidate in EECS, co-advised by Farnaz Niroui and Rajeev Ram. His work focuses on the convergence of nanoscale fabrication and photonics, working to realize the deterministic fabrication of tunable molecular devices. He is a NSF GRFP and MIT Presidential Fellow.
Teddy grew up mostly in Plano, Texas, and received his B.S. in Chemistry and Electrical Engineering from UT Austin. Since undergrad, Teddy has been heavily involved in STEM outreach and mentorship programs.
Outside of lab, Teddy enjoys walking through the streets and parks of Boston, visiting cafes/boba shops, and spending way too much money on books he wished he had more time to read.
