Comm Lab Fellow

Danyal Rehman is a doctoral candidate in the Rohsenow Kendall Heat Transfer Laboratory under Prof. John Lienhard. His research focuses on improving global access to clean water through energy-efficient desalination. His work involves the development of computational frameworks to accurately characterize and predict how these systems perform under variable conditions.

Previously, he received his B.A.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Toronto. During his time there, he worked on a start-up in rural Nepal and also completed a 16-month internship at Pratt & Whitney troubleshooting gas turbine engines for private jets. Through these experiences, he has learned the value of effective verbal and written communication for diverse audiences and is excited to share his learnings with students and colleagues.

In his free time, Danyal likes to watch/play football, scuba dive, and use LaTeX.
