A postdoctoral fellow in the Macosko lab
Garam is a postdoctoral fellow in the Macosko lab, where she has been building tools at the intersection of imaging and high-throughput sequencing that allow detailed profiling of cell states in their native tissue context. She is excited to apply these approaches across healthy and disease biology, with a particular interest in the brain and neurodegenerative diseases. Her training spans a PhD in Neurosciences from Stanford University, where she was a Knight-Hennessy Scholar, and an MS in Biostatistics, BA in Biological Sciences, and BM in Violin Performance from Northwestern University. She believes clear communication is what makes knowledge accessible and inclusive to everyone, and finds joy in helping others communicate their ideas to broad audiences.
