Craig McLean, 5th year graduate student

5th year graduate student
Kujawinski Lab, MIT-WHOI

Craig is a fourth-year grad student in the MIT-WHOI joint program. He uses bioinformatics to help manage harmful algal blooms and protect marine ecosystems, and is based in Liz Kujawinski’s lab. Craig grew up in Houston, Texas, and earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from the University of Arkansas – Fayetteville. Craig decided to join the Communication Lab to help his peers improve their ability to share their science, similar to how others had done for him. When he’s not at work, he’s probably spending too much money on vinyl records, working out, eating Mexican food, or reading.
