Michelle Zhang is a Ph.D. student working in the Parsons Laboratory with Dr. Dara Entekhabi. Her work falls within the field of hydrology, specifically in Earth system science. Michelle’s main research focus involves using remote sensing to make direct and global measurements of key environmental variables to understand the links between the water, carbon, and energy cycles on Earth. Outside of research and CEE Comm Lab, Michelle is also involved with MIT Emergency Medical Services as a volunteer EMT, Career Advising and Professional Development as a Peer Career Advisor, Student Events Board, and CEE GradCom.

Michelle has authored journal articles, received fellowships, and presented posters and talks at conferences. Her main areas of communication expertise include providing feedback for journal articles, thesis proposals, academic posters/presentations, academic/career documents (resumes/CVs), and
applications (essays).
