Fourth-Year Graduate Student
Mike is a fourth-year PhD candidate studying Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD). His research focuses on the application of CFD for nuclear reactor safety analysis, particularly for advanced next generation systems. Mike wants to help make nuclear power safe and competitive to enable the transition from our current energy systems to a carbon free world. He received his B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology where he was involved in nuclear imaging research for early cancer detection and cargo inspection. In his spare time, Mike enjoys photography, running, and exploring great New England scenery.
