As a Comm Lab, we meet our clients where they are.

This is one of the cornerstones of our Comm Lab practices. If you are an NSE student or postdoc, we work with you based on your timeline, your objectives, and your bandwidth. And now with the COVID-19 pandemic forcing us into a new reality, we are even more determined to meet you wherever you are.

For the next few months, all our coaching will be done online via Zoom.

To make an appointment

  1. Sign into our online scheduling system. If it’s your first time using it, please register. It takes 20 seconds.
  2. Select one of the available slots and fill out the appointment form. If none of the times listed work for you, do not hesitate to email Marina Dang (dangm@mit.edu) or anyone on the team.
Note: You can upload your document within the appointment form, send your draft to the Fellow at the start of your meeting, or not send anything at all if you’re still at the brainstorming/outlining stage.
  3. Wait for the Fellow to email you a link to the Zoom meeting. Here‘s what you might expect during an appointment.

Some ideas of things to work on

If you are able, you could use this time to start the introduction section of your thesis, improve a figure for a manuscript, update your resume, or explore any of these suggestions. At any point in the process (especially early on!), we encourage you to seek feedback from other nuclear engineers to ensure that you’re headed in the right direction.

Even with social distancing, try to stay connected with those in your field. We’re in this together.
