Abtin is a graduate student working at the intersection of plasma physics and quantum computing. He came to MIT after studying mechanical engineering with a minor in physics at McGill University in Canada. He is passionate about science outreach and visual communication using graphic design and animation software. In his free time, Abtin enjoys chess, guitar, photography, and working out.

Abtin was an active Fellow from 2021-2022. He is currently on reserve, available for limited quals coaching only.
