bielajew@mit.edu
(she/her)
Rachel is postdoctoral associate with an interest in fusion as a clean energy technology. Her research in the Plasma Science and Fusion Center focuses on plasma turbulence and transport in magnetic confinement fusion devices. Before coming to MIT, Rachel completed her BS at the University of Michigan in Nuclear Engineering and then spent two years teaching high school math and science as a Peace Corps volunteer in Malawi. When she’s not in the lab, you’ll find Rachel outdoors running, biking, hiking, or camping with her two dogs.
