Xinyao (pronounced shin-yow) also goes by Anna. She joined the NSE Comm Lab during the first year of graduate school. As a Fellow, she helped her peer students and postdocs reach their goals in scientific communication—an experience that she found deeply fulfilling. She completed her Master’s research working with Prof. Buongiorno on developing highly insulating wetsuits for cold-water diving, and later with Prof. Shirvan on designing of compact steam generators. After MIT, she joined Dassault Systèmes Simulia Corp. as a Sales Associate.
