currently on leave summer 2023

Zoe is a PhD student researching the radiation damage and healing of high temperature superconductors at the Plasma Science and Fusion Center. Her Master’s thesis focused on how resistive heating from current pulses can anneal proton damage in the superconducting microstructure. She’s been at MIT for a really, really long time, but somehow still loves it. However, she takes every chance she can to go someplace new, constantly making excuses to travel or backpack. Zoe is a member of NSE’s Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee and served as a Social Chair for the American Nuclear Society from 2022-23. She’s excited to be a Comm Lab Fellow because she enjoys people, talking and writing (in that order).
