Policy is, broadly speaking, the plans and principles that governments and large organizations use to guide both short-term and long-term actions. In many cases, people may be offered the opportunity to provide input to policy changes and help alter the direction of an organization. The challenge of policy communication is ensuring that your message is clear to the audience, that it provides supporting evidence important or relevant to the audience, and that it gives an actionable recommendation or request to the audience.
